General Membership Meeting
June 29 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Transportation and Infrastructure Funding
from State, Regional and Local Outlooks– tentatively we have confirmed a GREAT LINEUP of speakers to bring you the latest and greatest information you can use in your business forecasting.
Here are our speakers:
State Senator Mike McGuire-Senator McGuire will be talking about State transportation funding for roads, bridges, airports, and rail. Lots going on, and Mike is right in the middle of it all with his Transportation Committee appointment.
Sonoma County Supervisor David Rabbitt-Supervisor Rabbitt is very knowledgeable on Regional transportation funding streams, including, but not limited to the MTC funding stream, the Golden Gate Bridge District funding, the Four County Commission on Highway 37 corridor, and several other sources of potential and actual funding that should interest every one of our ECA members.
SCTA Executive Director Suzanne Smith-Our Executive Director of Sonoma County Transportation Authority is extremely well versed in securing of grants and matching funds that our local Measure M and newly passed Measure DD allow us to qualify for. I expect that Suzanne will have some valuable information regarding the SMART train, regional funding of our roads and highways in Sonoma County, all with a focus on how powerful matching funding can be from the Feds and from other sources.
Sonoma County Director of Transportation and Public Works Johannes Hoervetz-Johannes has the responsibility of administering millions of dollars’ worth of one time PG & E settlement dollars as well as ongoing budget funding or capital improvement projects and road rehabilitation projects throughout Sonoma County. Johannes will address specific road projects that are upcoming, as well as longer range budgeting that should be considered in every ECA firm’s business planning.
This is one you will not want to miss out on. Please let me know if you want to be one of, or the only, major sponsor of this event. We will be inviting our friends from the North Coast Builders Exchange as well as the Sonoma County Alliance and the Farm Bureau so the audience for any major sponsor should be dramatically enhanced.
